At EFG, we're proud of the ways we give back to our community and the causes we believe in. But many people don't realize that charitable giving is both practical and satisfying as part of their financial plan.
Living Donations
Registered charities perform valuable work in our communities, and Canadians support this work in many ways. Tax-exempt charitable foundations can grant charitable tax receipts for monetary donations given to them for a broad array of causes. The Canadian government has also eliminated capital gains tax on the eligible amount of publicly traded securities donated to registered charities.
Planned Giving
During our lifetime we are not always able to financially support those charitable causes we cherish to the extent that w would like to. Planned Giving programs present donors with the opportunity to provide lasting, tangible gifts for a variety of good works. Planned giving allows your influence and generosity to extend well beyond your lifetime. Great wealth is not necessary in order to make a substantial planned gift.
